What Are The New Guidelines Of Covid-19 Issued By The Ministry Of Health Of Saudi Arabia?

According to the emergency website, the Ministry of Health said in a statement that to implement the Interior Ministry’s directive, every Saudi and foreigner must receive both doses of the corona vaccine. The health ministry added that those infected with the virus should receive both doses immediately after recovery.

Introduction Of Third Dose In Elderly

In Makkah, an elderly Saudi citizen has starting to get a third booster dose of the corona vaccine.

According to SABQ, Khalid Muhammad al-Husseini, a citizen of Makkah, is the first Saudi citizen to get a third dose of the vaccine to prevent coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health has stated that those over the age of 60 who received the second dose of corona vaccine will get the third boosting dose of the vaccine after eight months

Note: After the vaccination, the citizen said that the people working in the centre had very high morale. They did not face any difficulty after taking the third dose of the vaccine.

Is A Third Dose Necessary If You Get Covid-19 Infection After Taking Two Doses Of Vaccine? 

Saudi Ministry of Health has said that “There is no need to take the third dose in this case.” 

  • The first dose should get taken at least ten days after being infected with the virus. Taking a second dose will also protect you from the effects of new forms of the virus. Once you have first dose, you can take second after three weeks.
  • The Ministry of Health says that if a person is infected with the virus after taking the first dose, the second dose should get taken at least ten days later, but there is no need for the third dose.
  • In addition, Sabq News quoted the Saudi Ministry of Health saying that “Corona vaccines given in the kingdom are safe and effective; taking both doses of the vaccine can also protect against a new mutated form of the virus.” 
  • The health ministry says the new form of Corona is spreading rapidly and that both doses are necessary to stay safe. 

It is noticeable that in the beginning, people who have recovered from Corona were given the same dose of Corona, but now, according to new research, people who have recovered from Corona for more than six months are being given a second dose.
