Riyadh Season 2 Will Start From October 20: Fans Anxiously Waiting

On Sunday, the President of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia (GEA), Turki Al-Sheikh, announced plans for Riyadh Season 2. He said that 14 sections covering an area of 5.4 million square meters will get built-in Riyadh for these events this year.

What Are The Entertainment Programs And Facilities In Riyadh Season 2?

On Sunday, the President of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia (GEA), Turki Al-Sheikh, announced plans for Riyadh Season 2. He said that 14 sections covering an area of 5.4 million square meters will get built-in Riyadh for these events this year.

The programs organized at various venues include

350 theatre shows
70 Arabic concerts
Six international musical events
18 Arabic and six international plays
Ten international exhibitions
The festival will have 200 restaurants and 70 coffee shops.
The Riyadh season will also feature freestyle wrestling championships, international football matches, two world-class competitions and thousands of other activities

Note: It is noticeable that two years ago, under the auspices of the Entertainment Committee, a series of entertainment programs get organized in different cities of the country under the title of Summer Festival, in which many things besides world-class circus and wrestling competitions were displayed.

Why Are The Events Delaying In The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia?

According to Arab News, in 2019, Saudi Arabia introduced special season programs for the people’s entertainment, held in different cities of the country.

These season programs include the Sharqiya season in March, the Jeddah season in June, and the Riyadh season in October.

In early 2020, all programs for the second season of the annual events in the country had abandoned due to COVID-19.

Is The Kingdom Safe Now To Organize Events?

Subsequent efforts to vaccinate against the corona epidemic have begun to restore normalcy in Saudi Arabia.

Because of the current situation, Ministry has announced that a significant event will get organized in the capital Riyadh in the next few months.

According to a survey by Arab News, the people of Riyadh who spoke to them in this regard were happy. They are waiting for the return of such public entertainment events after a year and a half. The Riyadh festival, which begins next month, will feature unexpected and shocking events, details of which will get announced at a press conference on October 4.
