Possibility of Lockdown in Some Cities
Talal al-Shalhoub, a spokesman for the Saudi Interior Ministry, warned that “As the number of cases of corona increases, some cities and neighborhoods may face the possibility of lockdown and many activities could be banned. “Residents will have to take precautionary measures to prevent the virus.
However, In a press conference on the latest situation of the new Coronavirus on Sunday, the Interior Ministry said that
“The incidents of non-compliance with Corona SOPs in Saudi Arabia are on record. If the rate of epidemics and the number of critical cases continue to rise, steps will have to be taken that will be unwelcome to society including a possibility of Lockdown.”

He said that lockdown could be imposed in the concerned cities and neighborhoods as the number of cases increased. Transportation resources may be suspended. An Interior Ministry spokesman said: “Some celebrities are not following the Corona SOPs. This has come to the record. Special measures have been taken concerning celebrities.
“Also, more than 900 new cases of Corona are coming to light in Saudia and active cases above 9,000.
Active Covid 19 Cases as of 21 April 2021
While addressing the KSA residents on 21-04-2021, the Ministry of Health announced that they had recorded a massive increase in the COVID-19 spread throughout the Kingdom during the last month (08-03-2021 to 21-04-2021).

On the same side, the Holy Month of RAMADAN started, and the ministry of health asked the worshipers and pilgrims to follow COVID-19 sops. It will prevent them from getting COVID-19, but it will also help the KSA government gain control of COVID-19.
Total Covid 19 Cases as of 21 April 2021
The country on Wednesday (21-04-2021) recorded twelve new COVID-19-related deaths. The loss of life has arrived at 6,858 (2%). There are 1028 new COVID-19 cases today, making almost 408,038 COVID-19 Total cases. There are 9818 active COVID-19 cases, out of which only 1145 of these are in a severe condition.

The Ministry of Health said they recorded a massive hike in the COVID-19 cases in the previous month. Also, there have been a further 824 recoveries from the COVID-19 virus in the last 24 hours, carrying the absolute to 391,362.
