Facilities for Pilgrims During Hajj 2021

The Saudi officials say all preparations have been completed for organizational and health facilities. They are going to provide the best facilities for pilgrims arriving at the Grand Mosque in Makkah during the Hajj.

According to Arab News, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Holy Shrines has informed that for the Hajj season starting in mid-July, all field and management committees and other departments have improved their services through pre-prepared plans and programs.

Earlier this month, Saudia announced that a total of 60,000 pilgrims would be allowed to perform the Hajj this year.

What are the Facilities for Pilgrims on this Hajj?

As always, many facilities for pilgrims are in place. Here are some of these.

Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdul Fattah Mushat visited the holy shrines (Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah) to review the Hajj preparations. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is striving to make the Hajj rituals easy and safe. It is taking steps to remove all obstacles in this regard.”

Facilities for Pilgrims in Mina:

Hani Al-Omari, a Hajj and Umrah National Committee member, said the ministry had set up six towers and 70 camps. These all are in Mina to accommodate pilgrims. 

An area of ​​4.37 square meters has been allotted for the unique package in Mina Towers. Whereas the Economy package is going to provide four meters. In addition, a particular place will be set aside for Hajj pilgrims. 

In addition to this, Al-Amiri said that they are going to give 5.33 square meters of space to one person in a special package in the tents of Mina. However, It will not include the area allocated for pilgrims’ services over the years. 

This year three packages have been introduced for Hajj pilgrims, the first package is for accommodation in mini towers while the second and third are for tents

Facilities at Holy Mosques:

On the other hand, the management of the holy mosques said that preparations for the Hajj season are nearing completion this year. Moreover, They are going to make sure they provide a healthy environment to every pilgrim, and they will not face any difficulty in this regard. 

The management of the holy mosques added in a statement that this year, the Hajj plan has three points: technical facilities, epidemic prevention arrangements, and fixed services.

Facilities at Jamrat for Rami:

This year, they are reserving three floors of Jamrat for ‘Rami’ during Hajj. Web News Lesson has quoted its sources as saying that 2500 pilgrims will go to each destination per hour.

Booking Tickets Online:

Now Pilgrims can buy bus tickets to Holy Shrine Musharraf Muqaddasah from the Twakkalna application. Now, pilgrims will be able to purchase tickets online from the Twakkalna application.

This year, hajj is not for everybody

There are two types of local residents who can perform Hajj this year.

  1. It is essential for those wishing to perform the Hajj not to suffer from any chronic illness and adhere to the steps taken for corona vaccination in Saudi Arabia. The age range for corona vaccine recipients is between 18 and 65 years.
  2. Pilgrims recovered from COVID-19 or those who received all two doses of the corona vaccine or only the first dose of the first vaccine at least 14 days in advance will be able to perform HAJJ this year.
