Ministry of Manpower and social welfare announces Eid Ul Adha Holidays
The Saudi Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare has announced the Eid ul Adha holidays for every sector this year.
Eid Ul Adha Holidays for Government Employees
According to the state-run news agency SPA, the Ministry of Manpower has said that the Eid holidays of government employees will begin on Wednesday, July 14, after completing their duties. Eid Ul Adha is on 20th July 2021.
The last day of the holiday will be Sunday, July 25, 15 Dhul-Hijjah 1442 AH. However, the Ministry of Manpower says that “Government institutions will reopen on Monday, July 26, 16 Dhul-Hijjah 1442 AH.”
Eid Ul Adha Holidays for Private Sector Employees
According to the SPA, the Ministry of Manpower says that this year, the Eid-ul-Adha holiday in the private sector and non-profit organizations will begin on Sunday, July 18, 2014, after the Sunday duty.
However, the Ministry of Manpower says that the Eid-ul-Adha holiday will be four days in the private and non-profit sector institutions.
Warning of Increase in Covid 19 Spread during Eid ul Adha
Saudi Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Muhammad al-Abd al-Ali is issuing a warning of an increase in corona cases during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
According to newspaper 24, Dr. Al-Abd Al-Ali told a press conference on Sunday that the Ministry of Health is providing vaccines to more and more people in Saudi Arabia on a large scale, while locals and foreigners are reaching more than 587 centers to get vaccinated.”
A spokesman for the health ministry said: “Earlier this year, corona cases increased due to the negligence of some. Ministry had recorded an increase in the number of certified cases on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.”
He asked all members of the society not to be complacent on Eid-ul-Adha. Do your best to keep the number of people infected with the virus to a minimum by adhering to preventive measures.
“It’s not time for us to rest,” he said. “We will achieve positive results with strict precautionary measures.”
He hoped that “If people continue to be vaccinated in the days to come and take precautions, the number of cases may reduce.”
According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, Health workers gave almost 2,00,00,000 doses of the corona vaccine across the country.
The first dose is 17.4 million, while the second dose is 2.2 million. In the last 24 hours, Ministry has provided more than 200,000 doses to locals and foreigners.
