A Significant Drop in Covid-19 Cases In Ksa, Daily Covid-19 Cases Recorded Less Than 1000
While addressing the KSA residents on 05-08-2021, the Ministry of Health announced that they had recorded a significant drop in COVID-19 throughout the Kingdom during the last week (29-07-2021 to 05-08-2021). Covid-19 daily cases for the first time dropped 1000 in the past two months, and the recovery rate from COVID-19 increased with the decreased number of deaths during the previous week.
This spread is observed when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made the vaccine compulsory to enter shopping malls, public parks, and air borders. Since March 2019, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had sealed its land, sea, and air border, due to which there was a massive drop in the COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia, but for the first time in the past two months, the COVID-19 daily cases recorded less than 1000 in the KSA.
On the same side, the Season of Umrah started, and the ministry of health asked the worshipers and pilgrims to follow COVID-19 sops. It will not only prevent them from getting COVID-19, but it will also help the KSA government to get control of COVID-19.
(1)- Total Cases:
The country on Tuesday (05-08-2021) recorded thirteen new COVID-19-related passings. The loss of life has arrived at 8,297 (%2). There were 986 new COVID-19 cases recorded in the recent day, making almost 530,981 COVID-19 Total cases. According to the Ministry of Health figures, the highest number of new corona patients was in the Makkah Mukarramah region, 189. It was followed by 177 in Riyadh, 162 in the Eastern Region, 101 in Jazan, 98 in Asir, 55 in Medina, 48 in Qasim, 41 in Hail, 35 in Tabuk, 29 in Najran, 24 in Hudood North, 17 in Baha and ten new patients emerge in Al-Jawf
There are 10,393 active COVID-19 cases, out of which only 1,424 of these are in severe condition. The government’s protective measures resulted in an increased recovery rate in Saudi Arabia up to 98%. Still, in the recent week, the recovery rate increased from 97.6% to 98%.
The Ministry of Health said they recorded a significant drop in the COVID-19 cases in the previous week. Also, there have been a further 1,055 recoveries from the COVID-19 virus in the last 24 hours, carrying the absolute to 512,373. Primary cases are additionally keeping a decrease with almost an 86.4 percent drop.

(2)- Covid-19 Cases In Previous Week (22-07-2021 To 05-08-2021):
Saudi Arabia has recorded approximately 398 to 412 cases per week from January 2021 till May 2021. At the same time, the average number of cases increased from 412 to 863 patients per day in the previous weeks. On average, four out of 100k people in Saudi Arabia became the target of COVID-19 in the previous week.
